Today we drove right through Saskatchewan and into Manitoba, stopping only in Swift Current for a nostalgic lunch at Bonzanza (for those of you who remember, this all-you-can-eat salad bar and entree chain closed it's doors in BC decades ago but is apparently alive and well in prairies). It seems Saskatchewan expects most travellers to drive straight through without stopping as they didn't feel the need to provide a good number of rest stops. The two rest stops we did find en route were still closed for the season so one gets the impression that the snow has only recently melted away.
