This morning we had a breakfast of eggs and bastorma (beef cured in a thick crust of fenugreek and other spices). This reminded George and Platon of their youth in Egypt. After a teary goodbye, we left for Montreal to visit Derek, a friend and ex-colleague of Artemis. Derek was glad to see Artemis and the doggies. His apartment was the only one in the neighbourhood with a roof top terrace, from which we could overlook the entire neighbourhood. For lunch Derek treated us to the best bagels in Montreal with fresh cream cheese and lox.

Last day in Montreal
